Not a Cake

I made a screen print of an open cake to show its insides. The print is an entire cake with a knife in frosting and blood, painted in soft colors so it will look innocent. When opened, however, it shows blood-like substance and guts, hence the contrast between the cake and the hideous fillings. I named my print "Not A Cake" as an allusion to another work of art called "The Treachery of Images: "Not a Pipe.”
